Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) struggle to engage with high-risk and high-cost individuals. MCOs can reduce member communication costs for their LEP populations, develop impactful member-level interventions through the collection of Race, Ethnicity, and language (REL) data, build trust, improve health literacy, and connect at-risk members hidden from the system to the care they need to improve their health.
Health systems and providers (primary care, specialists, mental health, dental, community health etc) can close gaps in care, increase health literacy, improve medication adherence, collect, and complete patient surveys, improve patient experience and Consumer Assessment of Health Care Providers and Systems (CAHPS) scores, and improve outcomes.
